Quick question guys. I’ll be applying for a marriage visa next year. I’m aware of the requirements. My Question is, the 90 day non O visa that I’ll need first, does it have to be single entry? Or could it be multi entry? So I could leave the country and return if need be, before I apply for the marriage visa around the 60 day mark.

Thanks for your help in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day non-O visa required for applying for a marriage visa can potentially be multi-entry, but this depends on the location of issuance. Specifically, only two Thai embassies, in Savannakhet, Laos and Yangon, Myanmar, provide multiple-entry non-O visas based on marriage. If traveling outside Thailand while holding a single entry visa, it's essential to apply for a re-entry permit to retain your entry status.

There are only 2 known Thai embassies in the world that will issue a multiple entry non-O visa based on marriage. The first one is Savannakhet, Laos and the second one is Yangon, Myanmar. With a multiple-entry marriage visa you receive a new 90 day stamp every time you enter Thailand.

If you are asking about a re-entry permit, so your entry stamp is not cancelled when you leave, then you just need to apply for this from your immigration office or get it at the airport on your way out. This will not add any time to your entry stamp, and you must be back and apply for your extension before the original stamp end date.

thank you Brandon, yes, it was your second paragraph I was asking about. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear.

Being able to enter and leave and re-enter during my first 60 days of my Non O, then being stationary in Thailand while I wait for the marriage visa approval.

I think you’ve cleared that up. But just for the sense of super clarity. I can enter on a single entry Non O 90 day visa and leave and come back in the first 60 days (if needed) as long as I get a re-entry permit. Correct?

Thanks again for helping 🙏🏽
