Any help appreciated

Answer summary

A user inquired about the reliability of a $1200 return flight quote from Australia to Bangkok with Singapore Airlines amid current travel restrictions. Responses indicated that while some airlines have adjusted operations, there are still challenges, including obtaining a Certificate of Entry (COE) and potential flight cancellations due to limited capacity. It's currently a complex situation for travelers, especially those attempting to return to Australia.

Singapore airlines is allowed to operate semi commercial flights. Follow the embassy Facebook pages they post updates and guides there. I will be booking for January but not ready yet.

You need:

-Exemption to leave Australia

-A visa (must meet conditions)

-COE

Not an easy process and not for the usual holiday.

The concern i have is the return flight as there is currently restrictions coming back into Sydney. Like would the flight be cancelled because of limited numbers of planes landing here

no guarantees of arriving back to Australia. If you’re looking for a holiday then this it not the right time. I’ll be travelling long term (1 year) so only need a one way ticket. Also need to do 15 nights quarantine when you arrive in Bangkok, not cheap.

From what I heard some airlines move their planes around on barely used routes to avoid taxes on not meeting airports requirements during covid. Might not be fake.
