Hi, my passport is expiring soon, and I have applied for a new passport.
My country immigration told me that the overseas mission will contact me to collect my passport when it is ready
Can I know the correct procedures to transfer my existing educational visa to my new passport? What forms do i need?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for transferring your educational visa from an expiring passport to a new one in Thailand typically involves completing a transfer form. You may need to provide copies of your old passport, the relevant visa stamp, and your new passport. It's advisable to keep your old passport even if it gets invalidated, as some embassies, like the German one, allow this. In certain cases, like with the British Embassy, you will receive a letter to facilitate the transfer at immigration offices. Once you have your new passport, take both to immigration for the transfer, which is generally free.
I am not sure where you are from, but I know the British Embassy gives you a letter along with the new passport to take to immigration. Which makes life a lot easier.
It will depend on the office that issued your current Ed visa stamp. There will be a transfer form needing to be filled out. They may ask for copies of the old passport and stamp and a copy of the new passport. They may not.
