TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for the DTV soft muay thai visa, you can start filling out the application form online while in Phuket. However, you will need to be physically present in Indonesia to complete the submission with proof of your current location, such as an immigration stamp. The processing time typically takes about 3 working days. Once in Indonesia, you will be able to upload your documentation and pay online. It's advisable to consult the Thai Embassy's website for specific requirements and details, as some applicants have noted delays in approval times.
It’s fully online, you can be anywhere in Indonesia and upload immigration stamp as proof of location. Can start filling out the forms while in Thailand, then go to Indonesia, upload proof of location pay online and submit. Husband and I got approved in 3 working days each through Jakarta while staying in Bali (soft power also)
You don't visit the embassy you apply online once in Indonesia. The processing time is 10 working days not including the day you submit the application
Anonymous participant Bali should be OK unless they call you in for interview. They don't put a visa in your passport anymore, they send you a pdf which is your visa. You need to print it out and show it to immigration when entering Thailand
Anonymous participant thats not a proof of location tho, but if you have a recent utility bill on your name it might work, either way you can use that and later when they ask for different proof and you are actually there can use something else, that i cant think of now :) but if they ask for stamp and it says day after your application, might be not good
You can also pre fill some of the information prior to submitting, but then make the final submission (with proof of entry stamp & or accom booking) when you’re there.
