Hello everyone, I just extended my retirement (extension). I also got a re-entry stamp, unfortunately, I got a SINGLE entry as opposed to MULTIPLE entries. How big of a deal is this? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has encountered a situation where they received a Single re-entry stamp instead of a Multiple entry stamp after extending their retirement visa. Community members explain the implications of having only a Single re-entry stamp, emphasizing the need to purchase additional single re-entry permits if the user plans to leave Thailand more than once. They suggest checking for a receipt if the user originally paid for a Multiple entry permit, as there may be a chance to correct the mistake at the immigration office.

Lets ask Mike Lomeli ..

....for reentry permit:

Did you pay 1,000 Thai baht...

OR

Did you pay 3,800 Thai baht

I paid 1000 Baht, I thought it was cheap. It was my fault for not asking for the Multiple entries.

Depends on you. My opinion is that it is a big deal if I paid 3.800 Thb and have a receipt to only find out that I have a Single Re-Entry Permit which cost 1.000 Thb. I would go back to Immigration, show the receipt and get it corrected.

No problem you can buy more single entries of if you travel a lot get a multi entry after you use your single they good for the length of your permitted to stay

Its good for one reentry.

If you plan on leaving and returning a second time, buy another reentry permit. 1,000 Thai baht.

FYI...a Multi-entry permit costs 3,800 Thai baht.

Well it lets you re-enter just once rather than multiple times.

So you have paid for a multiple re-entry? Do you have a receipt? Then you may try to get it fixed, but I'd do that asap. Best would have been to check and sort things out right at pickup.
