Can someone who’s recently received their DTV confirm if the proof of 3 months of 500,000 baht needed in the bank. Can I apply for the DTV on the third month? Meaning I have proof of the last 2 months and the current month I’m currently applying would that suffice? Or do I need to wait until the end of the 3rd month?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires whether they can apply for the DTV visa with proof of funds showing a balance of 500,000 baht for the last two months and the current month. The conversation highlights that different Thai embassies have varying requirements regarding how long funds must be held in the bank, with some accepting applications with less than three months of proof. It's recommended to check the specific requirements of the Thai embassy where the application will be submitted.

Some embassies want 3 months some will approve when funds are there for a day or two so best to check where you are applying

Where are you applying? There are embassies that approve with no seasoning requirement and embassies requiring 3-6 months.

I’m in Vietnam right now but I’ll just hop on a plane ticket to whatever country I need if I don’t have to wait hehe. I think Singapore or Taiwan one if those you don’t have to wait. I’ll do more research on that

Vietnam has approved with recent deposits. I got my DTV from Taiwan with a very recent deposit, i think it is still the same. They are responsive to emails for you to double check, Singapore i think you need to be a registered resident or citizen to apply for the DTV there. Jakarta is a good option.

Check the requirements for the Thai embassy where you'll be applying. They each set their own requirements.

so from what I was thinking is the only way to apply is through online no more at embassy. On the official website it says 3 months of proof but not sure if that means if I can apply on the 3rd month

But if I can still apply through embassy I would for sure apply at the one where I don’t have to wait 3 months.

Can anyone confirm if the only way to apply is through the official online Thai immigration page?

You don't apply for anything through immigration. Visas are handled through embassies, not immigration. You must travel to a country where you want to apply. Then you apply through that embassy on the e-visa website

which is the ONLY way to apply for a visa now. That application will ask you where you physically are, and will ask for proof that you are there and may be further confirmed by the embassy.

As I said, each embassy sets their own requirements. Some want 3 months of statements, some want 6 months of statements. Some only want the last statement to show required funds, some want every statement to show it.

You apply online but the application goes to your local Thai Embassy for approval based on "your location" so check their website

right but on the website it says you need 3 months of proof of 500k Thai baht equivalent. It says that regardless of what Embassy I’m close to. I’m not sure if that makes sense or not. Not sure if I’m missing something. I know when DTV first came out people could turn in their application directly at an embassy. But now no more.

Yes, your missing the specific requirements for the visa you are applying for listed on the Embassy website, the Embassy that will approve (or reject) your application. If you're in the UK, for example, look at the RTE London website before uploading to your online application.
