For the COE, do I need to pay 100% to the hotel in advance or is the booking confirmation with a 10% deposit also fine ? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for the Certificate of Entry (COE) regarding hotel payment vary based on the type of quarantine (ASQ or Sandbox) and specific embassy guidelines. While many embassies state that full payment is necessary, some travelers have successfully used confirmation of a deposit as sufficient proof. Ultimately, it is essential to verify with the hotel and your embassy to ensure compliance with the latest rules.

Did not. Think you had to quarantine after November 1 st

Depends on the embassy, but many ppl have gotten confirmation of payment documents enough with a deposit to satisfy their embassy.

Whatever is required for the ASQ to provide proof of reservation. I paid 20% down payment in August
Anthony ********
I paid a 20% deposit last march and the balance when at the hotel. All you need as far as I know is a hotel confirmation. That was for a ASQ
Sashy ********
They embassy states it should be 100% paid..

ASQ or Sandbox ?

With Sandbox its up to the hotel as they have to request the SHABA id needed for your COE.

Not sure of ASQ rules now, last year had to be fully paid.

@Michael *******
how do you get this SHABA? Does the hotel send to you when you paid in full?

you have to check with Hotel. Most ask for 100 % but heard some will send you with only a deposit

Yes the hotel applies for it
