Hi! I'm looking to enter Thailand during next month. Would be taking a ferry and entering from Langkawi to Koh Lipe. After this I'm planning to go to Phuket, Chiang Mai and so on. Thinking of staying in Thailand for two months.

How many days I'm allowed to stay in Thailand as a tourist (Finnish passport)? I have never entered Thailand via sea. Last entry to Thailand was around February 2023.

Thanks in advance! 😄

TLDR : Answer Summary
As a Finnish passport holder entering Thailand via ferry, you will receive a visa-exempt entry allowing you to stay for 60 days. This can be extended for an additional 30 days. It's advisable to have proof of accommodation, 20,000฿ in cash (or equivalent), and an onward ticket to ensure smooth entry.

Answered this for someone else:

No live experience with this trip but should be possible ofcourse with visa exempt. Only thing I would do is getting the three things they can ask; have 20,000฿ or equivalent in CASH, Address/hotel booking and onward ticket that you leave Thailand within 60 days. In this case a ticket for the boat/ferry to go back 🤷‍♂️.

I'm planning to go to Phuket and Chiang Mai after Koh Lipe. Do you think that a flight ticket out of the country would be enough? I didn't plan to return back to Langkawi.

, outbound flight ticket from Thailand would be fine if asked.

does this apply for sea borders too? I read some conflicting information online that supposedly one would get less days when entering via sea. That made me confused so I decided to make a post on this group. Also I don't know any friends or acquaintances who had entered Thailand via sea before.

, so-called sea borders are the same as land borders. Visa-exempt entry is 60 days now.
