TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about extending their one month entry into Thailand, specifically focusing on the possibility of extending a tourist visa for an additional 30 to 60 days upon arrival. Respondents clarify that there is no 'one month tourist visa' but rather a 30-day visa exempt entry available to citizens of certain countries. They provide information on how to extend this entry for another 30 days at an immigration office for a fee.

Regarding volunteering in Thailand: If you want to volunteer, contact a volunteer organization. Real volunteer organizations can get a one year extension of stay based on volunteering easily.

Regarding being a student in Thailand: If you want to study, contact the language schools or universities. Real schools and universities can get the one year extension of stay based on studying easily.

Regarding submitting the 30 day extension of stay based on tourism: You can do those submissions yourself.

actually it's very hard for foundations to get one-year extensions in Bangkok. You need an MOU with a government agency otherwise you're limited to 3-month extensions.

that is correct (y) many MANY real foundations can only get their people 90 day extensions at a time

also true for foundation-sponsored non-B visas unfortunately 😔

okay there is no default one month tourist visa 😮

So we will go with the premise you are from one of the 51 countries whose people can show up here without having bought a visa from a thai consulate before you came and get stamped in for free for 30 days on what's called a 30 day visa exempt entry.

IF that is the case you can indeed show up, get stamped in for 30 days and extend that ONCE for 30 more days at the immigration office in the area where you live for 1900baht.

getting a thai pass is NOT a visa question. My advice to you, GO SLOW, it's not a race to complete, READ the FAQ's first so you can understand how to do it and if you have questions ask on this group

yes im coming from the 51 countries ..thanks so much for replying so fast. May i know if the extension must be done on the last day and how long it takes?

you can apply for a new extension in Chiang Mai when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp <- meaing if you're showing up on a 30 day visa exempt entry you can go anytime after you arrive to the immigration office and apply for the extension,

You will not lose any time applying early as the add the new 30 days to your current expiration date
