I applied for DTV in Vientiane and went to the embassy for payment today.
I was hoping someone could tell me how long in advance they will notify you for the in person interview.
I would like to travel a bit in Laos while I wait for it.
Is it possible that they send you the invitation just a day in advance or does it usually come a few days before ?
I would be very grateful for any insights.

Is an interview mandatory? I thought it only required filing and potentially submitting additional docs by email, as we are in Da Nang it's pretty far from either Hanoi or HCMC

Many ppl get interviewed in Laos, and they have to pay cash at the EmbassySamir ********

It is usually at least a few days in advance.Laos is not interviewing every applicant as before. Approval can be given without interview.

I got mine In Taipei but know several who got theirs in Vientiane. Approvals can take from 10 -20 business days.Reply to
