I applied for DTV in Vientiane and went to the embassy for payment today.
I was hoping someone could tell me how long in advance they will notify you for the in person interview.
I would like to travel a bit in Laos while I wait for it.
Is it possible that they send you the invitation just a day in advance or does it usually come a few days before ?
I would be very grateful for any insights.
Thanks a lot in advance !

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquiring about the timeline for receiving an interview invitation after applying for a DTV visa in Vientiane, Laos, seeks advice from the community. Various comments reveal that notifications are typically given at least a few days in advance, with some users suggesting a timeframe of 7-14 days. Others note that the process may not always require an interview, and approvals can occur without one.
Is an interview mandatory? I thought it only required filing and potentially submitting additional docs by email, as we are in Da Nang it's pretty far from either Hanoi or HCMC
