Hello all, does anyone know if it's possible as a UK citizen to get a Thai tourist visa when in Sri Lanka? I'm in Thailand right now, my current 60 day Thai tourist visa finishes at the end of Feb, so I'm thinking to go to Sri Lanka for a month, get another Thai tourist visa while I'm there, and come back into Thailand with it. Has anyone else from the UK done this before? Thanks in advance! ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen can apply for a Thai tourist visa while in Sri Lanka, but it's essential to verify specific requirements with the Thai Embassy in Colombo. Some users shared their experiences, noting that they successfully obtained visas in similar situations. However, one comment suggested checking whether residency or work permits in Sri Lanka might be necessary for the application.

Yes you can do it no problem.

You will probably need a work permit or residency for Sri Lanka to be able to apply.

I once got a Non O in Brunei however I was working there at the time.
