I sent an inquiry email about my application status to Royal Thai Consulate -Ho Chi Minh on December 26, 2024 and haven’t got any reply from them yet. Does it usually take this long to get their reply ? How long does it take to receive their response ? May I ask?

its holiday season and most offices are closed or have less employees active as usual… applications take way longer currently in most embassies.

I understand.. but as I checked the official holidays announcement of Thai embassy in Ho Chi Minh and just noticed that they only considered 31st December and 1 January as the official holidays and not the other days . Not even 25th December! So I just thought it would take a little faster .

Anonymer Teilnehmer the official holidays is when the office is closed. has not much to do with the holiday season where employees take days off to visit family, celebrate new year, the season where most tourists travel to SEA and so the amount of visa applications probabls multiplies.

i got my DTV in germany approved in summer within 4 business days. currently it takes 15-20. just an example of how bad the holiday season affects the process

For reference, I submitted my application online to Ho Chi Minh Thai Embassy on Monday afternoon October 21. Was released on 11:30PM Thursday October 24, a day before my flight from Danang back to Bangkok. I can relate. It was nerve wracking.

I submitted my application on December 22 and submitted additional requested documents on December 26 and still no update about it . I have already booked my flight on this Saturday , Jan 4. Yes it is indeed nerve racking ……

Log on to your application, that is the only way to find out current status. HCMC Thai Embassy are very slow. 5 day reset, each time they ask for additional paperwork

Yeah it is my first time to experience such no reply from the embassy .. I won’t choose Thai Embassy in HCMC again for future visas . Long working days are acceptable but no reply at all is really surprising to me as I got pretty quick replies from Thai embassies in other locations .
