TLDR : Answer Summary
Users shared varied experiences regarding the time taken to receive communication after submitting their Thai visa applications online. While some applicants reported receiving approval within 36 hours, others expressed frustration over waiting periods of up to 8 weeks without updates. It's noted that applicants can check their visa status online and typically receive emails only when additional documents are required or when their visa is issued. Many emphasized the importance of paying the application fee promptly for the application to change from 'submitted' to 'processing'.

Mine took 5 days

Emailed straight away that you registered. Check your status online.

Tourist 60 day visa approved on bank holiday Monday after submitting on the previous Thursday. Pretty damn quick
David *******
You need to pay. Then the website shows ‘processing’

Do you pay same time you submit ?

My status on the web site says submitted and I've been given a request number, but not paid yet.

No problem. It’s the first time I’ve used the online system. Applied yesterday. It was much easier when I could just go to the Cardiff Consulate!

I paid immediately I completed the application. There was a link on the website. As soon as I did the status showed as Processing. If you click on the ‘+’ next to the application number I’m guessing it will show Payment Pending. It won’t move on until you pay.

Just checked my status again and processing has appeared with my request number, but I haven't paid anything.

When I press pending payment or finished, my request number does not appear.

I will see next week if I get a response, I'm not going until end of October.

Thanks for your input David.

I am keeping an eye on the website, it says submitted, and given me a reference / code number

You can check your status on the evisa website. Ideally the only communication you will receive is when your visa is issued and London is known to be fast.

If your status changes to something like "additional documents needed" you will receive an e-mail with what they need and where to send it, since you cannot submit updated documents through evisa.

Did you send money after approval, I've submitted and received an acknowledgement and a code number.

I thought I'd payed when submitted last year, can't remember.

Is submitting and paying two separate actions, or should you pay when you submit.

I did see next in blue when I saved and pressed, I presumed that was to pay but it did not continue.

I'm not sure, it's been a few months since I did it so I can't remember the flow. They may also use a different payment process in the US.

Following. Been 8 weeks for a uk tourists visa. Not heard anything yet.

A tourist visa to travel to the UK, or a tourist visa from the Thai consulate to travel to Thailand? The op is asking about the 2nd one.
Gary *********
@Brandon ***********
my mistake, I thought he was asking about visas to the uk.

Just to add, regarding the original question, 2 days wait for a 60 day tourist visa a couple of months ago.
