I have a question to anyone who applied DTV at Hanoi, Vietnam.
They accepted my application and took my passport on appointment yesterday . And they gave me an another appointment slip that said my visa application result will be notified by email. What's the waiting time to be notified by email? A few days? a week or a month?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a DTV visa at the Thai Embassy in Hanoi, applicants generally expect to receive an email notification about their application result within 1-3 working days. However, experiences vary; while some report receiving results in as little as 2 days, others may face longer waits, citing regular processing times of up to a week. In particular instances, individuals have experienced delays beyond the expected timeframe, particularly following holidays. It's advisable for applicants to inquire directly with the embassy if the waiting period exceeds 3 days.
Update: I didn't get mail from the embassy till this morning. So I went there in person to ask the status. They told me to wait till next week to know my result and it's their regular processing time for DTV they said. I applied on Wednesday and didn't get it back till this Friday. So above mentioned DTV processing time 1-3 working days is not true for Hanoi.
not bad. They checked the documents I provided carefully and demanded more detailed financial statements to submit. I had to fulfill them. Especially they wanted to see many payments transactions in my bank statement of last past six months.
Anonymous participant May I ask another important question?
Should the bank balance 500K THB remain every transaction? Because there might be different every time because we always use money in and out. But I will put 500K before I apply.
no need to have consistent amounts. Only the closing balance should be 500k minimum. It's better if you can prove the source of transfer in amount added before application. In my case, I showed them my salary payment slips for the last six months.
Anonymous participant I haven't done it yet so I don't know how you can contact them. They have an email address, but you could try and go back and see if you can get an answer. I have not heard anyone waiting more than 2 days, in HCMC - they are very clear that it takes 2 days.
