Morning all, we want to apply for the tourist ME visa for a trip from end of December to mid May. The visa lasts 6 months from date of issue so we donβt want the visa issued until mid/end of November. My question is how long does the application process take for any resident as we need to time it right to send off our application. Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The processing time for a Tourist ME visa application can vary significantly based on the consulate handling the application and the completeness of the submitted documentation. It is generally recommended to start the application at least 4 weeks prior to your planned trip, keeping in mind any holidays that may affect processing times. Individual experiences may vary considerably, with some applicants receiving their visas within a few days.
If you got your METV issued today it would be valid to the beginning of April so a 60 day re-entry then would take you to the end of May and there would also be a 30 day extension available

I applied for a METV back in August, I honestly submitted on a Friday and got it Tuesday. Couldn't believe it. I was in the UK

You're asking a question that no one can answer π the processing time varies by consulate.
Also it is controlled by how well you are at filling out and uploading the required documentation.
IF they have to ask for additional documentation it slows the processing time, if you get everything uploaded correctly when you apply it goes faster
I'd say depending on the consulate start the application a minimum of 4 weeks before you're planning to make your trip
BUT
take into consideration any holidays (when they don't process visa applications) and also check the posted processing time on the website of the thai consulate you're applying for the eVisa thru.
