Hi,

To apply for a second tourist visa in 1 year, does it make a difference if I go apply a second time in Penang or a first time in Kota Bharu ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a second tourist visa within a year, there are concerns about the likelihood of approval based on current visa rules and previous visa history. It seems that both the Thai embassy and consulates in Southeast Asia are not granting back-to-back tourist visas. The discussion suggests that applying in Penang or Kota Bharu may not significantly differ; however, factors such as previous visa usage and current immigration policies play a crucial role in the approval process. It is recommended to explore options for obtaining the correct visa or a work permit for long-term stays.

We wish you success....

Suggest you ask an experienced Visa run service company...IF THEY CAN GET YOU A NEW THAI VISA?

And DO NOT FLY INTO THAILAND. The Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival will question you about living in Thailand for such a long time and likely get DENIED entry.

That's your best hope for now.

Good Luck ๐Ÿ€

You have already asked this question several times and the Moderators have replied to you by PM.

Suggest you return to your home country and after a while, apply to get get the correct Thai Visa for your stay in Thailand.

Or get the Thai work permit and correct Thai Visa for your job in Thailand.

You have already USED your Allowed 2 LAND BORDER CROSSING entries into Thailand this calendar year...

And Already have a new Thai Tourist Visa issued by the Penang Thai Consulate.

As we have said in our 3 replies to you, the Thai Embassy and Consulate in SE Asia appear to be not granting back to back Tourist Visas.

Your recent history of staying in Thailand is the reason you likely will be denied ADDED Thai Visas.
