How long does it take to cancel a non-B visa and work permit after resignation, and does a 30-day tourist visa automatically cancel upon leaving Thailand?

I have a couple of questions today! I will try to ask and explain the best I can... visas here still confuse me 🙈

1. How long does it usually take for a non b visa & work permit to be cancelled after you resign from a place of work? (Also asking my school)

2. Does a 30 day tourist visa automatically cancel once you leave the country?

I’m arriving in the beginning of April on a 30 day tourist visa, then departing to my home country mid of April to apply for a multiple entry tourist visa - I just want to make sure there are no complications with this transition.
