Hi again 🙂 looks like I’m going to visa run to Cambodia and I was told by immegration I could get 7 days only on my current covid extension. But my question is, is it ok to get the 7 day stamp, and then leave the country to visa run with the intention of returning in 2 days? I don’t know if that 7 day is a “can’t come back” type thing. I would wait till next week to ask immegration directly but i need to book flights. Thank you for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is questioning whether it's permissible to obtain a 7-day stamp on their current COVID extension before leaving Thailand for a visa run to Cambodia, and whether this stamp will affect their ability to return to Thailand shortly thereafter. Comments suggest that securing a tourist visa in Cambodia before returning is advisable due to potential entry denial risks based on recent visa history. Additionally, travelers should be aware of entry requirements for both Thailand and Cambodia, including health regulations and proof of funds.

I suggest you get a tourist visa to return to Thailand from the Thai Embassy in Phnomn Penh.

You run risk of being denied entry on arrival in Thailand if you have a recent history of using various visas, visa exempt and COVID extensions to live in Thailand.

And as you will need to get a RT-PCR COVID test in Cambodia before flying to Thailand that takes at least two days to obtain results. There are only several authorized hospital clinics which can give you the COVID test and appointment is required.

To obtain the tourist visa or any visa from the Thai Embassy requires 3 business days.

I have placed the TOPIC ...CAMBODIA on your post. CLICK on it and all posts te CAMBODIA will pop up to read from others who have gone to Cambodia for a Thai Visa.

You will need a Thailand Pass to enter Thailand and meet its requirements.

You will need a RT-PCR COVID test within 72 hours of your departure from Thailand to Cambodia.

You must be FULLY VACCINATED to enter Cambodia.

You must obtain an EVisa online from Cambodia to fly to Cambodia. There is NO visa on arrival in Cambodia at this time.

And when you do return be prepared to answer questions from Thai Immigration on arrival

"Why do you stay so long in Thailand?"...

...And be able to show 20,000 Thai baht in CASH...if asked. NO ATM card or bank statement allowed.

...Have a confirmed air ticket departing Thailand at end of the entry or visa entered on...

...Have both booking of the Test N Go to show...

...Have your after Test N Go address to show.

...along with other Thailand Pass requirements including required health insurance.

Good Luck...

While that's fine it also implies your not going to apply for a visa in Cambodia. If you're planning to stay longer in Thailand why not take a couple of extra days and get a visa?

there are no visas that are less than one year at the moment for me. I have to visa run.

3 working days including application day and pick up day. The only way you can do a return quicker is return without a visa. If you want to do it this quick, look for Intercare who do same day PCR test if you test before 9.30am, $130. You could possibly just come in and leave on next flight, using your original PCR test.

sorry. You misunderstood. I meant to take longer in Cambodia to return to Thailand on the 60 day tourist visa rather than the 30 days visa exemption. Don't think the 7 day stamp will cause a problem

I guess I’m really just wondering if that 7 day stamp will cause problems. I could use the extra week to plan the run.
