Hi all

UK Citizen here. I want to check that I've got my calculations correct. If I do a border bounce and reenter on the 29th January will my visa exemption last until 15th March as that is when I have booked my flight for.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen is inquiring about the validity of their visa exemption in Thailand during a border bounce, specifically confirming if their stay would be valid until March 15th, given their arrival on January 29th. Community members clarify that the visa exemption lasts for 45 days, starting from the day of entry, and caution that they should avoid overstaying by ensuring to leave immigration before midnight on March 14th if their flight is early on March 15th. Suggestions were also made regarding using experienced border run services.

if your flight on 15th is early morning, pass through immigration before midnight on 14th and sit in Departure lounge for flight. Avoid the 1 day overstay stamp

Be careful with your BORDER BOUNCE... Suggest you use an experienced border run service company to take you to the Thai border, Bounce out and re-enter same day.

AVOID Poipet !!!

Glad to hear that I have been in Thailand since July 2021 first on STV visa then on covid extentions then I went to Cambodia for 1 day and flew back in so I have been here a very long time already. I guess I will just have to trust the visa agent as they have assured me it will be ok.

at this point.. yes. Be prepared for questions and have proof of your flight departing Thailand within the 45 days stamp you will get as Visa Exempt Entry along with the address of your stay and 20,000 Thai baht in CASH to show if asked by Thai Immigration Officer .

The day you arrive into Thailand counts as DAY #1.

January 3 days

February 28 days

March 14 is the 45th Day

You're One Day OVERSTAY

Depending on your flight time and when you clear Thai Immigration...

Could be One Day OVERSTAY

Fine is 500 Thai baht

But Fine is usually WAIVED

Along with an overstay stamp in your passport with notation of 1 day/ fine WAIVED
