What is the best way for a UK citizen to border bounce from Chiang Mai for a tourist visa extension?

ORIGINAL POSTER
I'm a UK citizen in Chiang Mai on last week of my first tourist visa.

So far: visa exempt -> education visa for a year -> this tourist visa -> 30 day extension -> now.

I plan to border bounce shortly and have completely forgot the best way to go about this or whether I will have any likely problems based on the above? I want another visa exempt, then an extension, and then I'm off back to the UK.

I can't remember name of the bus company/place for long journeys to/from ___? Will I need to stay over? Can I return same minute/hour/day?

Would appreciate if somebody could help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a UK citizen currently in Chiang Mai on their first tourist visa, is seeking guidance on the border bouncing process. They have had multiple visa statuses and inquire about the procedures and logistics for obtaining a visa exempt entry after a border run, as well as information on transportation options for long journeys, including whether an overnight stay is necessary.
