TLDR : Answer Summary
UK citizens can stay in Thailand for up to 30 days without a visa under the visa-exempt rule, receiving a stamp upon arrival. They also have the option to apply for a tourist eVisa for a 60-day stay, followed by a possible 30-day extension.

If you travel without a visa you'll receive a 30 day stamp called visa exempt when you arrive. You can apply one time for a 30 day extension.

Or you can apply online for tourist evisa before you travel and with that you'll receive 60 day tourist visa stamp and can apply one time for a 30 day extension.
