TLDR : Answer Summary
You can obtain a re-entry permit at Bangkok Airport (BKK) before your flight, which is open 24/7. However, it’s advisable to arrive at the airport well in advance (at least 2.5 hours) to account for tailing check-in and potential queues at passport control. The fee for a single re-entry permit is 1,000 THB, plus an additional 200 THB if you don’t have the pre-filed application form or photos.

You can. Take 10-20minutes additional to normal procedure to clear passport control (nobody knows how long the queue for passport control on that day and time. Sometimes no waiting line, sometimes waiting nearly hour).

BTW Fee is 1000thb for single reentry permit and +200thb if you don’t have pre-filed application form or photos.

depends if you go left or right at the top of the escalator at International departures. One side has the desk before stamping out, the other has it after. I am told they are open

why would a thai embassy in KL know anything about re-entry permits sold by the thai immigration office INSIDE thailand?

Embassies sell VISAS outside the country :O Immigrations sells things inside tthe country. Two completely different government offices

You can...but I do believe you are cutting it close (1 HOUR 5 MINUTES) trying to arrive at airport without allowing at least TWO hours + for checkin and clearing Thai Immigration and getting to the Gate to board.

If you are also going to buy a reentry permit at the airport, I suggest you check in AT LEAST 2

hours before flight time.

i can go there at 10pm, no problem, as long you can get my re-entry permit. it's easier than spending 2 hours to go samut prakarn immigration which is like 30km away
