Did I get that right.

Visa is valid for 5 years. 2 times a year I can stay 180 days so 360 days a year. After that I have to leave once and then again 2 times 180 days? The whole 5 years?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 5-year Thai visa allows holders to stay for up to 180 days per entry, with re-entries allowed multiple times during the 5 years. Each time you enter, you receive a new 180-day stamp, which can be extended once for an additional 180 days. After utilizing the maximum stay of 360 days in a year, you must leave the country before re-entering to start the cycle again.

You are allowed to enter the country as many times you want over the 5 years. Each time you enter, you receive a 180 day stamp, which gives you 180 days. With every 180 day stamp, you can then extend one time for an additional 180 days. If you do extend, you have to leave the country at the end of the 180 day extension, but you can return and start all over. For me, I have entered and left 6+ times in last 6 months and each time I get a new 180 day stamp.
