Hi all, from my research here I believe the DTV visa once approved gets activated in 2 ways -

1. You receive ur approved DTV e-visa via e-mail. Carrying this document you fly in to Thailand show this e-visa along with the regular docs TDAC and they will stamp us with the DTV 5 year?

2. You submit your passport to a Thai embassy outside the country and once approved get it stamped there too ??

I’m very confused how option 2 works.

Does it still require approved DTV e-visa via email prior to that ? I see in posts people say they submitted their passport at the embassy and received it back in a few days with the DTV stamp?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the activation process for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand, explaining two purported methods: receiving an e-visa by email or submitting a passport to a Thai embassy. Comments clarify that only the e-visa (PDF) is now issued for entry, and that embassies no longer provide physical stamps in passports. Users emphasize that upon entry, travelers receive a 180-day entry stamp for multiple entries over a five-year period.

Both are wrong. You don't get the visa stamped in your passport. The visa is a PDF. What you get in your passport is the 180 day entry stamp

If I get accepted with a DTV, do I have to annually show the Thai authorities that I'm still in my DTV business or would that not be a requirement?

It's option 1. They will stamp for 180 days per entry. Multiple entries for 5 years.

Option 2 doesn't exist. Every Thai consulate now issues evisas only

There is only one way now to get a DTV and that is by emailed PDF.

Since January 1st this year all embassies and consulates use the online evisa system.

Prior to January some embassies and consulates were affixing stickers which is why you see some mention of them.
