What does 'Name and Address of Thai reference' mean on the tourist visa application for Thailand?
Hello!! I am applying for a 60 day single entry tourist visa from the US and I was just wondering if anyone knows what it means on the application for Name and Address of Thai reference? Thank you so much!!
Answer summary
The 'Name and Address of Thai reference' on the tourist visa application typically refers to where you will be staying in Thailand. If you have a hotel reservation, you should list the hotel's address for your first night. Some consulates may refuse to grant a visa without this information, so it is advisable to complete the application fully. However, if you are staying with friends or family, you can provide their address instead. In some cases, applicants have successfully left this section blank without issue.

Caroline. Always complete the Applications fully. Ensure you put the Hotel Address you will be at for at least the first night on it. Remember to also do this on the Arrivals Card they issue you with on the Airplane

Some consulates are refusing to grant visas without Thai address! This was today in Vientiane.

Best to maybe prebook a hotel room? That's what we did for the first 4 days. Can always be cancelled after the visa is issued.

You only fill in when you are going to stay at a friends house. Otherwise leave it blank.

It can be left blank. That's what we did when applying for our multi o-a a couple of weeks ago.

Leave it blank.
