SINGLE ENTRY TOURIST VISA QUESTION PLEASE -

I have some friends coming in from America and trying to apply for a single entry tourist visa.

They need confirmation of booking from a hotel - the hotel we've booked them at has no online booking system no a physical address - it is on haad yuan bay.

They also seem to need a letter of invitation. Where can one get that?

Can anyone please help to advise? Thanks

XOXO

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks guidance on obtaining a single-entry tourist visa for friends visiting Thailand without an online booking hotel and needing a letter of invitation. Community responses suggest getting email confirmation from the hotel, calling to book another hotel with a physical address, and clarify that a letter of invitation is needed only for stays at private addresses. Furthermore, the discussion notes that not all Thai consulates require booking confirmations or invitation letters for tourist visas.

Just to add there is no question on the application form of both links for an invitation letter? Only a proposed address. here you can download and see the application form,

Look up that Thai Consulates website to obtain their requirements for the Visa.

The requirements for a Tourist Visa may differ from Consulate to Consulate . .

What is their State of Residency in the USA?

To select a Thai Consulate in USA click on the residence State of applicant to determine which Thai Consulate/

Embassy to submit application.

And with this the answers are there.

You have the place and address to tell your friends to apply for a visa.

You managed to find a hotel without on line booking, go find the place again and ask their address

And Invitation letters you get from house owners.

Good luck

I never heard of a requirement that a hotel owner has to write a letter of invitation to his hotel guests to apply for a visa.

Just fill in the hotel name and address and you will be okay.

Visa application forms are for different kind of Visa and not all the questions will apply to a Tourist Visa.

But the extra box special for Transit and Tourist Visa much be signed.

The hotel has no protocol for letter writing and no interest in writing letters. The officials seem to want a confirmation for the whole length of stay.

It's an official consulate, and they accept mail applications.

You need a letter of Invitation if you stay at a private address, the owner of that place writes a letter.
