Hello everyone, I'll be in Thailand on May 1st. I'd know about payment systems besides the classic cash. Is Wise working to pay in any shop and withdraw from any Atm?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses various payment systems available in Thailand aside from cash. Users mention that while Wise works well for payments and ATM withdrawals, it's important to note that many shops may not accept credit cards or may charge extra fees. Alternatives like the TAGTHAi app for QR payments and Revolut for premium accounts are also highlighted. Overall, carrying cash is emphasized as the most reliable option.
For wallet do you mean is it possible to pay directly from the app? I usually pay with my Wise physical card to any shop and with my Wise virtual card for online shopping.
Yes, already saved the official website to do it 3 days before arriving. Thanks.

Best to bring as much cash as possible and exchange at booth, bring absolutely perfect large denomination bills. You can download the tagthai app load it up at the airport and scan to pay.
read through the website, I don't know much about it, but I heard the top-up locations are limited, so plan for that.

Many shops do not accept credit card, or charge an extra fee to use a credit card. There is a new app that lets you use QR payments like the locals without requiring a Thai bank account
