weeks it wasn't working. It appears I did, went to immigration in person, but they haven't updated me on the system 😩. So I have to go in person again or send by mail.
check with the particular immigration office. Should be straightforward but all slightly different. Some accept photocopies of passport, visa, TM.6, with TM 47 (filled in with blue ink 🙄 usually) and some want all originals.
mine is a 2.5 hour ferry each way with a stay over night due to lack of return same day boats. 🤦♀️ mail is straightforward. If you trust the post. Have copy of TM.47 ( download on line and print off) and send origional passport, TM.6 and prepaid return envelope. Or someone that you trust who is going can take and do report for you.
I tried more than once using my laptop (google chrome) yesterday and it didn’t work for me. It just froze after clicking submit and then advised me to contact my local immigration office.
there’s lots of possible reasons for that. The main one seems to be that because the system was down for an extended period if you had any interaction with immigration whilst it was down the info on the system doesn’t match the info held for you so it means that you’d need to go in person to file it (or by mail), get the system info corrected and then the next reports should work online correctly.
