Has anyone successfully cancelled their dtv for another visa and how was the process?

I see this question asked a lot in this group but has anyone gone through the process please?

Reason being is that I’m happy for the dtv now but I may want to switch to a business or work visa in the future and I want that to be an option

Thank you
