Purely FYI: for those of you planning to come to Thailand in the near future and needing health insurance covering Covid-19 for 100.000$

I have no idea how this works in other countries (I live in Belgium), but I a have fire insurance on my house with AXA and I was able to get a 1 year health insurance as an extension on that fire insurance, providing worldwide coverage including COVID-19 up to 1.250.000€ for just 58€ per year. They will also provide me with a document that I can use as proof with the RTE when getting my CoE.

Might be useful to investigate this path if you’re in the same situation...

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience securing a year-long health insurance plan that includes COVID-19 coverage as an extension of their existing AXA fire insurance. They received global coverage of up to €1,250,000 for only €58 per year, which can be documented for use with the Thai RTE for the Certificate of Entry (CoE). The post encourages others facing similar travel challenges to consider this approach.

Hi Patrick - May I ask if you could send across a copy of the document for proof with the RTE? I’m facing some difficulties with my COE application and would like it as reference to request from my agent. Thank you in advance!

Is it age specific? Most of them are. €58 for everything or €58 extra?

I’m not sure about it being age specific. 58€ was the price they quoted me, but of course they know my age. It was 58€ per year on top of my yearly fire insurance bill.
