In the uk for vaccine, returning to thailand on the 2nd October. Already have retirment visa. For the COE i need an insurance that covers covid for a year. Wanted to use the cheap LMG insurance, but that does not cover covid. I can use this to extend my visa when I am in Thailand, but not to get back in. Thought I might get a cheap ticket to Singapore for november(not Use) Then I only need covid cover for a month and can exend my OA visa at the end of Octber, when it is due and use the LMG cheap insurance. Does anybody think this will work?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is returning to Thailand on a retirement visa and needs to secure COVID insurance for the Certificate of Entry (COE). They discovered that their current insurance does not cover COVID, so they considered a temporary solution by planning a cheap flight to Singapore. This would reduce the needed coverage to just one month, allowing them to extend their visa in Thailand later. Comments suggest alternatives like Revolut premium cards and AXA insurance which cover COVID, with personal experiences highlighting effective claims with AXA.

AXA. That is what I used and on the second day at the quarantine hotel I tested positive for covid. The hospital submitted the paperwork and AXA paid 100 % without any issues.

The covid coverage must be for the entire duration of your visa/entry or they will not issue the COE.

Revolut premium cards have free insurance that covers COE. Emirates free insurance also covers COE. Emirates can cover upto 365 days max or your return date whatever is sooner

Hi, I have Revolut premium, do you know how to get a statement from Revolut saying that they cover COVID-19? Iโ€™ve looked for it all over the app but I canโ€™t find anything. Iโ€™m applying fir the COE too. Thanks ๐Ÿ™

in the app go to the insurance and print it out. I used it with the London embassy in December and all was ok. Many others have used since. My trip was 90 days so it fitted perfectly. The insurance is an annual policy with multiple 90 day trips
