Any current update on applying for Busines visa in KL? I hear the embassy is strict and advised to go to Penang but if papers are in order I don't see why it would matter which embassy one visits.

Thanking you in advance ๐Ÿ™โ˜บ

TLDR : Answer Summary
Applying for a Thai Business Visa at the embassy in Kuala Lumpur can be straightforward if your paperwork is in order, according to community feedback. Some users suggest that the KL embassy is more stringent compared to the Penang location, which they find easier to navigate. Users noted that the KL embassy does not issue multiple entry Business Visas, only single entry Non-B visas, and provided comments on the necessity of being well-prepared with documentation. They also mentioned logistical considerations, such as nearby accommodations when queuing to obtain a visa, and shared experiences regarding travel routes to KL.

I found KL to be a breeze if your paperwork is in order. There's an ok hotel right across the street, which is convenient since people start queuing about an hour or so before numbers are given out.

Thanks Astrid, my tourist visa went very smooth there also.

Yeah shame about the route stopping huh. Going before then though so should be good.

All thai consulates are not created equal and the one in KL is NOT Penang. :/

Of the two I'd say Penang is easier to deal with.

If you're going to use KL you'd need to supply the documentation required to get a 90 day single entry Non-B visa. There are three ways you can apply for a Non-B from KL too:

Thank you Dear Tod Daniels for your info. Much appreciated. According to website it seems ok. If lawyer prepares all the correct documents from my company it shouldn't be a problem by the looks of things.
