How strict is the validity of the police check for a Non-B visa application in Thailand?

Hey guys, got a gig working in Bangkok teaching, so been recommended to do the border run in Laos for the non-B visa. Thing is I’ve been working in Cambodia the last two years, and my police check from there expires on the 16/08, which is next Saturday. To get another one will cost me an arm and a leg as I will have to get it externally, are they picky on validity?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice about the necessity of a valid police check for a Non-B visa application after having worked in Cambodia for two years. Their police check will expire soon, and they inquire whether they can still use it or if the validity must be strictly within the three-month requirement stated on the embassy's website.

The requirements on the embassy website say it must be issued within 3 months. Can you not apply before it expires?

, so it looks like I'll be flying into Thailand tomorrow and doing the visa run straight to Laos, more than enough time to get the process started at Vientiene before Friday right?

Yes, but make sure you're aware that Monday and Tuesday are Thai holidays. So you'll need to be fast.

You can pre-fill most of the application on the e-visa website. Then as soon as you enter Laos (I would go Tuesday) upload your entry stamp in your passport and submit your application. Then first thing Wednesday morning (I'm talking EARLY, because they will have been closed for 4 days, there will be a lot of people there), go get in line at the embassy to make the payment for your application. They accept payments from 9-11 AM.

Then you'll just have to wait.
