TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the challenges Thai citizens face when applying for visas to the US and the UK. Generally, it is perceived that acquiring a UK visa is easier than obtaining a US visa, as the UK offers a more straightforward application process for certain visa types, especially tourist visas. Factors such as individual circumstances, like educational background, financial stability, and ties to Thailand, significantly influence the ease of obtaining a visa. It is also suggested that evidence of employment and finances is crucial for visa applications.

She will need to provide evidence of her work and family so that they will be happy for her to return back to Thailand, also she has money in her bank account for the holiday, and that she has a home to return to and a job, you have to provide proof that you have money to support her and pay for her return to Thailand if necessary

Generally, it is often considered easier for Thai citizens to obtain a UK visa compared to a US visa. The UK offers a range of visa options, and the application process can be more straightforward for certain categories, like tourist visas. The US visa process tends to be more stringent, with more extensive documentation and interviews required. However, the ease of obtaining a visa can vary based on individual circumstances, such as travel history and financial stability.

Sorry to report that if your girlfriend is not highly educated, is from Isan, has darker than white skin and is not a landowner and not a multimillionaire (Thai Baht), then it will be extremely difficult or worse. Easiest visa to get is a fiancé visa to your home country. That should only take 2 years or so. Good luck.

That I understand. I’m just trying to get an idea whether it’s easier to get my girlfriend into America or if it’s easier going into England?

if its just for a holiday then UK probably easier presuming she has good job, property etc etc. My wife when she was my girlfriend got her own tourist visa and met me in UK for the weekend

Probably easier for the country which you don't have a passport for. Because if it's your home country then the assumption is you are trying to get her there to bypass the immigration process and marry her and then apply for a change of status. But if you're not a citizen of the country you want to take her to, that's not a risk.
