Hi can anyone advise me on a agent or persons for visa to UK for a girlfriend of myn im staying in hua hin for three weeks and just wanted some advice ect documents req many thanks 🙏
Answer summary
When applying for a UK visa for a Thai girlfriend, it's generally advisable to handle the application independently rather than through an agent, as agents typically only forward documents and do not add significant value. Key documents required include a valid passport, proof of a genuine relationship (like photographs and communication logs), financial evidence (such as bank statements and payslips), and proof of intent to return to Thailand (like family ties). Additionally, it is recommended not to purchase flight tickets before the visa is approved. Applicants should prepare for a visit to a VFS Global center for biometric checks, and the entire application process is completed online.

Can somebody tell me how long a single entry visa is valid for once issued?
I just tell you the truth. The most common fraud in Thailand is to SCAM stupid and horny westerners. Believe me I have worked in Thailand. I know how it works.
My wife just did hers and went for biometrics last week they told her would be 15 days till approval or not but she has had two before. Think 3 weeks maybe a bit tight on time
We live in Hua Hin and my wife got her uk visitor visa approved a couple of weeks ago. I wouldn't say it's easy, you need to supply a lot of evidence, especially providing evidence she will return to Thailand and proof of relationship. I don't think an agent can help much to be honest as they can't bribe anyone and your gf needs to gather the evidence anyway. Happy to discuss if you want to dm me.
Very easy to do yourself well herself, it’s all online, 12 page application form except a trip to Bangkok for a photograph and biometric fingerprint. My only advice is don’t tell any lies on the application form.
It’s actually quite easy I did mine a last years your requirements include a valid passport, proof of a genuine relationship (photos, chat logs), financial evidence (bank statements, payslips), accommodation details, and evidence she will return to her home country.
The accommodation I got my sister to post me a hand written letter to state I was going to stay at her home for the trip ..
you need to have a return flight booked for her
and for the expenses you also must write on the application form that you will be supporting her 100%
i also had a copy off travel insurance attached
Once you complete the form on UK Government website
it will transfer you to VSF Globle you will get a appointment to go see them
Take all your documents with you to support your visa application thy go through everything and within 2 weeks your visa is approved… it cost around 5200baht ..
As my girlfriend was working we go a letter from her boss to state her job title and that she has approved her holiday it was just something extra to support her application..
Good luck saying that my tour was England Scotland Wales 5 weeks no change £8000 ..
Michael Flynn Michael Flynn only easy if your girlfriend has a reputable job ,land ownership ,my 2 friends were both turned down ,one drives a saleng taxi in kanchanaburi and he supplements her earnings with money from England.the other is actually married to him as he is near retirement age and will be coming to live in Thailand soon, runs a fruit stall in pattaya but has been turned down for a tourist visa
My own experience my wife was turned down a tourist visa ,but granted a settlement visa ,after 10 years we applied for a tourist visa for her son while he was at university, it was turned down ,we appealed the decision and it was overturned ,yet another friend got a visa with no problem and she was a bargirl in pattaya ,pay your money take a chance but its far from easy 😀
Michael Flynn hi Michael, one question if you have to show return flights 🛫 booked ,and you don't get the visa you will loose the flight money 💰 is this correct.
Stephen Richmond No, you are not required to purchase or show paid, confirmed return flights when applying for a UK holiday (tourist) visa. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) advises against buying non-refundable tickets before a visa decision. However, you must provide a travel itinerary or evidence of your intent to leave the UK.
Michael Flynn Photos or chat no longer required. You don’t need to show return tickets either, it actually advises not to book flights until the visa is granted in case it gets refused.
Rene Ordman My Thai lady doesn’t have a job, doesn’t own property and very little cash in the bank. She has just been granted a 6 Month Visitor Visa to the U.K., this is her 5th one and the circumstances are the same as the previous Visas.
Oh! Good to hear that......... Somewhat surprised but ok....... You must be providing a, solid situation as that runs contrary to what I've seen. Live and learn! Cheers!
Rene Ordman We got stuck in the U.K. during Covid for 15 months. We applied every month for extension which was granted. I was apprehensive last year when she applied they might say no because of this but the Visa was granted no problem.
As much info as you can give . Chat convos bank transfers pictures of the house in the uk . Passports letter stating you will support her in the Uk . Bank statements then she will have to show her intention to come back to Thailand like family ties etc
Uk website will give you a check list. I found agent to be usless as they fill in answers with what they think the embassy wants to hear. It's not difficult, just be honest. We been doing them for 20 years now
