TLDR : Answer Summary
To get a second phone number in Thailand on the same phone with AIS, you need to check if your device supports dual SIM cards or eSIM technology. If supported, you can either purchase a physical SIM card and insert it or activate a second number through an eSIM. Many users have reported a seamless experience using eSIM technology, such as with the iPhone 13, which can accommodate multiple numbers. Also, AIS offers plans that allow multiple numbers on a single contract, simplifying billing.

There is another way of looking at this, that is to have two numbers on one phone contract, which means you pay one bill for two numbers. You will numbers given two sims as outlined by the other replies. AIS and probably the other big suppliers can provide this.

The iPhone 13 can have three numbers. Two eSims and a physical sim. I've had both my Thai number and my USA number for almost two years.
I know. It sounds super crazy & like it should be complicated. I just added a second line through Airolo the other day. I was quite nervous. It was easy peasy with an esim.
If your phone supports 2 Sim cards, merely buy another card and install it.

Find out if your phone supports e-sim or dual sim cards. If it does you'll have to purchase another cell phone plan from AIS with a different phone number and add the e-sim to your phone or insert the sim card into your phone
