How can I find out why a Singaporean was denied entry into Bangkok?
How can I check if someone is able to enter bangkok a not? My friend was stopped at the custom and was told she is bar from entering Bangkok without any reason given. She is a Singaporean..

If she blacklist she would not been able to board. The Immigration pre scan all passengers before allow boarding, based on passenger list.

What does "being banned" mean? Was she rejected at the border for not having the triple proofs? Is she black listed from entering Thailand for X amount of years for being caught on overstay/having drugs/ etc? What does it say in her passport?

So many possible reasons ... 1-way ticket, insufficient funds, too many previous entries, the immigration officer was having a bad day ...

Just ask the person to show the passport. If the person is banned it is stamped in the passport. If the person is clever to buy a new passport, ask too see the old one. Here an example of the stamp:
