Hello,
I have a question. I was in Thailand previously and had a mix of Ed visas, B visas, and tourist visas. I got denied entry at the airport in Bangkok last August for not having 20,000 baht cash on me but then entered by land and was in Thailand until about March. I am now working in Burma and have a B visa here (way easier!). I am planning on flying into Bangkok to get a new B visa from the Burmese consulate in Burma. I will have my flight back to Yangon booked and a letter for my Burmese B visa. I am planning on being there for a week. I want an in person visa and not an e-visa because if I get three b visas at the same consulate in a row I can get a one year B visa (weird Burmese rules). Do you think there is a high chance of getting denied entry when entering Thailand?
Thanks,
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about the possibility of being denied entry into Thailand while trying to obtain a new B visa at a Burmese consulate after previously being denied entry for not having sufficient cash. The responses indicate that entry decisions depend on the immigration officer and suggest being prepared with necessary documents such as proof of funds, onward travel, and hotel bookings to enhance chances of smooth entry.
