TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat seeks recommendations for visa agents in the Jomtien area to assist with applying for an O retirement visa. They will arrive from Australia on a 30-day visa exempt. Several users recommend agents like VIP Visa and Tik Tok Ratchanee, while others suggest applying for a retirement visa before arriving in Thailand or managing the application independently to save costs. Key details include the importance of having the TM30 form ready and potential costs associated with using an agent versus applying independently.

apply in your own country, for a 3 month retirement visa, arrive day one, day 2 go and register your address at immigration, get stamp in passport, same day go to bank with letter from immigration, transfer funds. After funds in the bank for 3 months, go back to immigration, get 1 year retirement visa, cost. 1, 900 bht. simple.
or go to an agent and get it for 40,000 bht, maybe more next year.
thank you for the advice. With current Processing times here, I would not get my tourist visa in time unfortunately so I'll need yo organise it when I arrive.
mots services or tiktok services appear to be the most recommended! When you are ready to apply make sure you have a tm30!

I don't have an agent recommendation, but just want to correct you in terminology. You'll be arriving with visa exempt for 30 days, not visa on arrival. Visa on arrival is only available to a few countries and they apply for and pay for a visa at the airport and only gives you 15 days in Thailand.
