Renewed my annual extension of stay for the 3rd year at Kanchanaburi IO. No problems other than they wanted the orginals of both my medical and bank letter. Before, copies were ok.
On completion the IO added a card to my passport (photo) and asked me to report to check my bank balance was still 800k in 3 months time, and this has to be done in person. Having successfully avoided long runs to do 90 days report by using the online system, now I have to go for another reason. C'est la vie.
Also I was barely out the office when they called and arranged a home visit with me for today, same as last 2 renewals. In and out in about 45 minutes.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares their experience renewing their annual Non-Immigrant O visa extension at the Kanchanaburi Immigration Office, noting that original documents were required for the medical and bank letters instead of copies. After receiving a card in their passport, they must report back in three months to verify their bank balance. Despite the inconvenience of needing to visit the office, they completed the renewal process smoothly. Comments from others in the community discuss variations in procedures at different offices and health insurance requirements related to the Non-OA visa.

Thanks for the information. The new health insurance is ONLY for the NON IMMIGRANT O-A please take a good look at see the big letter O followed by -A. Yes, Non Immigrant O-A visa. Look in passport and if there is no visa with the same letters, like O-A, the requirement of police records, medical records, health insurance and being over 50 years of age do NOT effect you.
I will do my yearly extension in Sisaket on Januray 4th, 2020. I am curious if I will receive such a note, saying I have to come back on April 4 th for a bankbook check. I would not be able to comply, as I will make a trip to Europe leaving Thailand on March 21st. I am curious about what will be their reply
people who have had immigration offices give them papers stating to come back in 3 months but who were going to be out of the country are told to come back as soon as they re-enter the country to show their bank book
They must be one of the few immigration offices that are doing that "bank book balance check" 3 months after you get your extension. Most are just waiting until next year and will look at your bank book then.
