Hi, I have a longstay 0 that expires in August. This month I would like to extend it 1 year. My plan was to leave the country or do a border run when I came in Oct. and was hoping everything would be open by now I'm wondering what the easiest way to get my visa stamped so it's good for another year

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your longstay OA visa, which expires in August, you can exit and re-enter Thailand before the expiration date. Upon re-entry, ensure you meet the current entry requirements and have a renewed year of health insurance, as your visa extension will depend on this coverage.

Okay I think what you're really asking is how to get another year ENTRY STAMP out of a currently valid OA visa that expires in August 2022,

To do that you would exit/re-enter the country on or before the date your visa sticker expires.

At the time you enter the country you would need to meet the entry requirements in place for everyone to get back in. AND

you would need to have a new year of the health insurance as you'll get stamped in only until the insurance expires.

In this case, upon re-entry, does immigration also ask to see the 800K financial proof in addition to the new annual health insurance policy? Or just the Insurance? Thanks much ๐Ÿ™

on an OA all they want to see is the mandatory health insurance and they'll stamp you in for as long as that policy is good (up to one year)
