TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can receive another free year on their OA visa if they leave Thailand and return before its expiration. Responses indicate that leaving and re-entering requires buying a reentry permit, after which the validity of the visa is contingent on the original expiration date on the visa sticker. If the visa sticker is still valid upon re-entry, they can be stamped in for another year, assuming they meet the health insurance requirements. If the visa has expired, they can stay until their entry stamp expires but must apply for an extension with sufficient funds in a Thai bank account.

how about you look at the OA visa sticker in your passport and tell us with the valid until or admitted until date is on it? (it's a year from the date it was issued).
The entry stamp you get off it is totally irrelevant.
IF the expiration date on the visa STICKER has not passed yet and you can get out and back before it does you will be stamped in for another year (or as long as you have the mandatory health insurance)
BUT
if it has past already you're allowed to be here until your current entry stamp expires. <- at that point your entry stamp does become relevant đ
AND
if you're going to get an extension of stay from the immigration office for 1900baht you need to have 800K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the year extension
You're also going to have to have another year of the mandatory health insurance with one of the 14 approved thai OA insurance carriers
It sounds like you're already on your "free year", so any re-entry (provided you have reentry permit) will only be up to the expiry date on the re-entry permit.

If on your second year of that visa, that means if you want to leave/return youâd have to buy a reentry permit. This will allow you to renter and youâll be stamped to your existing âstay untilâ date. Single entry is 1,000 baht, multiple entry is 3,800 baht.
