How can I apply for my 10-month-old baby's dependent visa at the Thai Embassy in HCMC?

My DTV was approved on Monday by the Thai Embassy in HCMC. I have a 10-month-old baby and would like to apply for her as a dependent. I have a few questions about applying for my child online:

Can the Thai Embassy in HCMC accept my bank statements to sponsor my child?

For the "occupation" field, since she's just a baby and not a student yet, what should I do?

We plan to travel to Thailand on November 2, and I'm worried I won't have enough time for her visa application. Is there any way to handle this situation without changing the flight date?

Thank you for your advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance on applying for a dependent visa for their 10-month-old child at the Thai Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City after receiving approval for their DTV. Key concerns include whether bank statements from their sponsorship can be accepted, how to fill the occupation field for a baby, and managing the visa application timeline before their planned travel on November 2. Responses suggest that children may enter visa-exempt and that overstays are typically not penalized, although obtaining a visa is advisable.

You can get a visa for your kid but be aware you don’t really need one. Children and their parents aren’t penalized for overstays as long as the parents have a proper visa. The child does get an overstay stamp in their passport, but it is not held against them on re-entry.

I think there is no need. Babies can enter visa exempt (if from a visa exempt country), and overstay without any fines.

Bad idea. Even without fines, they still incur an overstay stamp and this could affect visa applications for foreign countries. Not to mention the stress you undergo at the airport or Port of departure when caught.

Just put N/A for any irrelevant category regarding the dependant child. Yes show your bank info with a sponsorship cover letter.
