Hi everyone, so I have a quick question I’m coming in on my dtv visa for the first time. It got approved while I was on my visa exemption so I’m going back and coming back in on it. I wanted to ask though what do you show when you come in. I’m worried about the bank stuff I had enough when I applied but had to pay my security deposit for my rental and my sons Tution it will be built up again in a couple of months but I’m worried if they ask to see bank statements or not when you come in.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry is about the necessary documentation when entering Thailand on a DTV visa for the first time. The individual is concerned about showing sufficient bank funds at immigration after recent expenses. Responses indicate confidence in entering with just the passport and visa document, though some caution about possible scrutiny depending on the airport, especially Chiang Mai. Overall, multiple users report successful entries without complications.

You can not be on a visa exemption when approved, since you had to stay in the country where you applied, until you got granted the DTV, you are not allowed be inside Thailand, during the visa processing.

Visa exception stamp expires when you leave Thailand.

So something is wrong, the way you describe it.

a bit too late for that now. Yes it's a bit of a No-No but in the big scheme of things they just simply exit and return.

You will be fine, zero problems out of 5 DTV reentries.

I got a dtv back in July 24 when they first came out. Been in and out of Thailand about 6 times since then. No issues at all.

You have an active DTV visa, the next time you enter Thailand use it and you will get a 180 day stamp

You should be fine. Just hand over your passport and printed pdf of your visa.

Some reports of Chiang Mai having a special form for first time entrances on DTV, so avoid that airport if you are worried.
