Hello ,

I am so discouraged. I was approved with my DTV on 4/22

I applied for my children DTV on 4/23

On 5/5 - I received an email for additional document request.

My original application in which my DTV was approved with Washington DC embassy. (They required only one bank statement .

Now they are request “3 months” of bankstatments for my children DTV along with other request. I want to know does anyone know if all 3 months have to show over 16k?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the requirements for bank statements while applying for children's DTV (Dependent Visa) in Thailand. The original poster expresses confusion about the necessity of showing over 16,000 USD in each of the three months of bank statements requested for their children's visa application. Other comments clarify that the minimum requirement is 500,000 baht (approx. 16,000 USD), and it is crucial that the most recent month meets this requirement, although previous months can vary. It is also noted that inquiries about the children's financial statements depend on age and embassy regulations.

You can write a letter for financial support saying you promise to pay for your family members because they are your dependents and put your own bank statements

And yes they will most likely require the last 3 months have the minimum amount in your bank account statements

3 months? You're lucky, many embassies require 6 months.

They also need proof you have permission to take your kids out country for longer than 28 days from other parent if single parent get either a letter from them or get a court order (based on uk requirements) xx

They need your 500k statement under your name updated untill May just to sponsor your kids just like you do your own visa (you dont have to put more, just the same amout) but upload it again

××they didnt ask your kids bank statement××

I understand what they need , my question was not does it have to be in my kids bank account name . I’m asking does each 3 months have to have over 16k USD in the account ?
Meaw ************
Anonymous participant no need... you can have less or more in months earlier but the latest must be more than 500k.

Maybe i dont understand what are you trying to ask because i thought you already got DTV and apply dependant for your kids!

But anyway here is the answer and i asked this directly to embassy

thank you so much for your response . Yes that was the question . When I applied and got approved they only requested one month bank statement. Now applying for children they are requesting “3 months”

My prior months did not have over 16k only my most recent . So I was concerned if all months have to be over 16k.

It depends on which embassy you’re applying to.

This is quite normal! Each of your children and spouse must have 500,000 baht in their bank accounts.

It is standard to confirm the legal status of marriage and children.

Anonymous participant 457 it is vary.

In Hanoi we applied for American couple

Only the man had the 500,000 THB in his account.

His wife visa.was dependent on his application showing marriage certificate

Both get the visa

Not 500,000 for her

And 500,000 for him

This is where we got all confused .

Because it states you only have to show 500k baht . But it's actually for each individual person .

So my family is 5 people . 75k USD .

We are in the process of the business visa.

But yes you have to show 16k in the bank for those three months . They are changing things left n right

yup that's what was so upsetting for us . It's like the places pick n choose who they want to have what . We went to Cambodia and told that . We went to an agent in Bangkok told the same thing.

But then heard stories of families actually getting by with just the main DTV holder .

We can afford it but don't wanna transfer investments and all that .

@Luna ******
understand you

But even in Cambodia we get it for Dad and his Baby girl

Only one statement of dad

Both get the visa ka

I think the only thing that benefits us right now is having a baby born here . And my 11 year old sees a specialist here as well .

And now this company is going to help my husband with visa 😀 once this is all taken care of I'll feel so much better I love it here !!
