Does immigration need to see the Chanote for the property you are renting in order to process a child’s education visa? I’ve never had to provide one for my own long term visa, only rental contract

TLDR : Answer Summary
In processing a child's education visa in Thailand, it's unclear if the Chanote is always required, as some individuals report being able to use a rental contract instead. However, several commenters shared experiences where they had to present a Chanote along with the owner's ID for their own Non-O visa extensions, indicating that while it may not be universally mandated, it could be part of the checklist provided by immigration.

We had to show the rental chanote for my non O extension. Unfortunately the Chanote was not compliant. I had to then go to Chon Buri to my Wife's condo. Do a new TM30 then got a 2 month extension while we sort out the mess in Phetchaburi!
