TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking clarification on whether a child's legalized birth certificate is necessary for extending a NON-O guardian visa for one year. A comment suggests that school documents are needed, while the birth certificate may not be required, and recommends checking directly with the immigration office for specific requirements.

You need the documents from the school, I can’t recall needing the birth certificate when I did mine but that was some time ago.

Probably best to go to the office before you are due and ask them for the handout of what specifically is needed. Each office has slightly different requirements.
