Quick TM30 question: I live with my Thai wife in our mortgaged house (hers technically). Before i register on the TM30 website, does my wife have to register the house and her details first? Or do i provide the details about her and the house when i register? And its done at the following website right?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To register on the TM30 website, your Thai wife needs to first register the property in her name. Once this registration is complete, you can use her account to report your stay at the property. The TM30 registration can be done online, and while you don't need an individual account for both of you, it's advisable that she completes the initial steps using her information as the property owner.

Update: my wife says we can put my name directly on the house somehow. Because I'm not renting from a landlord. I live here. I don't have a rental agreement because we are married. Anyone know if this is true?

, you don't need to provide lease agreement in that case, but you may provide the proof of relationship (marriage cert, etc) to show staying in that address is legit.

thanks for the message. So if I went to extend my 60 day tourist visa and they ask for tm30, you think maybe I can show marriage papers instead? Thanks

@Jonathan *****
, no you need TM30 receipt

but how can I get one if I don't have a rental agreement? Is the marriage certificate in place of a rental agreement for the tm30 website?

@Jonathan *****
have your wife go to the TM30 website, read the user manual watch the video and it will show how to set up the account, add the address and then add you

your WIFE uploads the required data to HAVE the account at that address, her thai i/d, house book, chanote etc

She can register anyone at that address once she has an account set up and the address added in

You need to register the house using the blue book, and since it's probably in her name then she has to do it. Once it's done, you can complete your TM-30 using her login.

Good to take a print too after … you’ll need it to add to your paperwork come renewal time .

that's not so easy. All I could do was take a screen shot.

I have been using a screenshot for some time now as I didn’t realise that you could export a PDF file. Never had any problems. It’s worth noting that I believe that you can only “find” your record within 7 days of entering it though so you need to get a screenshot or download the PDF soon after entering the stay because you won’t be able to find it after more than 7 days. See comment in red on attachment from immigration website

, it's easy to export as PDF from the system. Check the User's manual.

I did that but it refused to print.

I just arrived back in Thailand yesterday and updated my TM30 notification and had no problem printing out the document directly from the website interface. I also downloaded the PDF file without any problems. I used Chrome web browser to access the TM30 website on a Windows 10 notebook computer. I would recommend using Chrome as it seems to more stable/ compatible with Thai Government ( and many other) websites. MS Edge and iOS Safari are often problematic and not recommended. Note that after submitting the notification then searching for it I didn’t see a download button as such but clicked on the magnifying glass symbol on the left of the record entry which then opened the document with download and print buttons at the top of the screen. Both worked for me.

I think I missed the magnifying symbol thinking it was for something else. Thanks for your help.

No problem. I was looking for a download button and was getting frustrated so I clicked the magnifying glass symbol then all was revealed 😄

Were you trying to print directly from the website interface? I have had trouble trying to do that in the past on other sites and solved it by downloading the PDF then opening it in a PDF viewer then printing it.

@Steve ********
I will try that next time. Might even convert it to jpg to make PRINTING easier.

It should be your wife registering on the website as the owner of the property and she’ll add your name .

First your thai wife, registers the address on the system. Then she registers your stay

3 steps, first is to set up an account then as you say
Ellie *******
Yes, you register on that system from the "Register" menu.

Usually, the owner gets an account and then reports the foreigner(s) staying at the owned place.

Or you can get your account as a foreign tenant using the owner's information, and report on your own.

Either would work. You don't need an account for each of you two.

@Ellie ******
what do you need from the owner to be able to get an account as a foreigner reporting on your own?
