There is rumors the last covid extension is possible on the 25th of January.
My visa expires on 4th February, can I already apply on the 24th January for the extension?

This curtesy program from the Immigration Office started in Sep 2020 to help stranded foreigners, if it get Extended again and again is just guessing or crystal ball readings.
Get the correct visa for your purpose of stay inside Thailand and do not plan to live inside Thailand using a curtesy program.

You can apply for an Extension of Stay with less than 30 days left on your current stay. The Extension of Stay based on unable to travel is a curtesy of the Immigration Office, make sure you have a plan B when the extension does not get approved.
