Can you extend each 60-day stay on a multi-entry tourist visa in Thailand?

A multi entry 6-months tourist visa allows you unlimited exits and re-entries into Thailand, yet only

within the 6 months of visa validity.

Each time you enter, you will be granted 60 days stay permit.

You then can extend these 60 days on immigration ONCE only, for 1900.- THB, for another 30 days stay permit.

You will need to exit Thailand and re-enter, in order to activate the next 60 days stay permit

By doing a “border bounce” on the last day of the visa validity, you can extend your stay for the last time, for 60 days. And extend these last 60 days on Immigration, again, for 30 more days.

Can i jump on and ask ? Do i understand then if you get multiple entry for 60 days and extend for 30 . Then leave country ( do you have to return to original country you came from ) how long before you can come back ,? I.e. (1 week / month) or can you just pop over to phillipines or loas etc . Then when you come back you have 30 day or 60 day again ?

You cannot keep extending as you need to exit and re-enter to get a new 60 day entry stamp to extend as each 60 day entry can only be extended once then you leave.

Each entry on a multiple entry visa can be extended once. Enter just before the visa expires and get an extension allows for around a 9 month stay with that visa.
